Slipper Project - Iloilo Concepcion
Domingo Y. Sobremonte Memorial School
February 05, 2014
Year 2013 was a year of struggle and devastation.
A year that the world was alarmed when typhoon Yolanda hit Philippines.
News every where that this typhoon slammed down the town of Tacloban and Iloilo,
but not to mention a lot of towns suffered. Every nation help out and try to reach out.
One of our fellow worker was one of the families who suffered this tragedy.
Lost there house and most of there properties was destroyed. We felt a broken hearted and feared for her family.
She is Pearl Denzy Luceno through her we coordinate and choose 2 school in her town.
Thats why we come up of why not extending this Slipper project to Iloilo.
It was our first time to send slipper miles away from our place Cavite.
We felt excited on how we can managed to do it. Yes! we can.
Month of january passed by and another typhoon came that make the delivery on pending.
Finally they arrived.
A small school in Iloilo Concepcion named Domingo Y. Sobremonte Memorial School
we learned that all there student used slipper as everyday foot wear. Through help of people in Qatar we finally
completed 222 slippers for this children. We are on the other side of the planet but in our small way
hopefully we can give hope and happiness for this children.
To the volunteers, to the anonymous donations our warm thankful heart.
