The group was founded in August 1997 by four teenagers from Cavite National High School. The initial group made up of around 20 members started as a friendship club which aimed to divert the attention of students from joining violent gangs and notorious fraternities that were thriving on the campus. Their major platform then was to cater youth awareness projects, talent and self development activities, and community services. Today, the group holds different activities to address these issues. “When people regard me as a hero, I always tell them that they should look inside them too because I believe that there’s a hero inside every one of us and all we have to do is just to open our eyes wide and feel what’s going on, then let our hearts be willing to accommodate the needy, the desperate and the hopeless simply by extending our hand to them, and there you will unfold the hero that is in you.” — Efren G. Peter and Jasmin Salvador. This started with feeding programs and eventually turned into a learning vessel for children.
Ministering to a church in remote area in Liliw, Laguna, God moved their hearts to open a learning place that provides quality, Christian education. This started last June 2004 where the level they offer for free is preparatory with the vision that before enrolling to elementary, students are capable to write and read as required by public school. Because there was no facility for studying, the couple requested a church to be the host place for the said schooling. Its first place chosen was in Mojon, Liliw, Laguna where there 15 students. Offering it for free, the couple looked for sponsors so books and materials can be purchased. Jasmin did the volunteer teaching. They also look for sponsors so food will also be provided. Its next place was at Bagumbayan, Sta. Cruz, Laguna for 4 consecutive years. The couple included in their mission to provide free slippers for less fortunate children and feeding program so they launch the HANDOG TSINELAS where they also visited different places such as Sta. Cruz, Nagcarlan, Pagsanjan and Paete, Laguna and Guiguinto, Bulacan.
